This year was tough for all of us and so it was for me. Today i have the duty to announcing that Secret Santa in offices won’t happen due to Covid safety precautions this year.
But.
Santa had a lot of time recently and spend it, well who would have thought on the internet. Funny story, the other day i had to pay for a service online and couldn’t pay with CC only with Bitcoin. After researching Bitcoin i quickly got sucked into the Blockchain world and all the new possibilities it opens up. What particularly caught my attention was smart-contracts on ethereum.
After countless hours well spend on implementing a digital Secret Santa. I can proudly present “Crypto Secret Santa”, a smart contract powered Website to play Secret Santa.
The rules are simple:
- You deposit erc20 tokens or nfts for a stranger
- More people pool their presents
- Christmas day Fri, 25 Dec 2020 3 PM UTC arrives
- The elves and me shuffle the presents in the pool
- You withdraw your present
